Simon Winchester’s “The Perfectionists” finds the always engaging author casting his gaze on the precision that defines our daily lives. With examples from the industrial age up through today’s digitally dominated world, Winchester carefully constructs narratives that will have you looking closer at the minutest details and their outsized impacts.
